We Went to The Olympics!!

We saw the Bronze Metal Game here in ShangHai. We loved it. The people even tried to do the wave! Tim was kind enough to get our driver a ticket too.

We had a date at Tony Roma's first... nothing like occasional American food.

They look like a 12 year-olds, don't they?!

Tim wanted me to sneak a picture of the Brazilian family sitting next to him. Funny how we've totally become like the locals. They are always sneaking photos of us Americans.

They had these huge statues around the outside of the building of all kinds of sporting events. I loved this one of female archery, and couldn't help but to think of She-ra (think He-man's main squeeze).

This is a picture of the streets. It didn't turn out all that well, it was dark out. But if you look closely, there are guards about every 25 feet. They stood incredibly still, their fingers stiff and flush to the side of their perfectly pressed uniforms. They looked ready to act at any moment of hostility! Pretty intense!

Another picture Tim wanted... of all the Chinese people exiting the building. So you can imagine how foreigners stand out in a crowd.

Oh you lucky dogs!!! I think Justin is over here drooling with envy because soccer would be an olympic sport he'd definitely love to see live.

I know, I know, totally MIA from your blog!! I'm so glad to see you are doing so well in China! I love all the adventures you go on and the stories, oh man, love to read them. I so wish I would have done your "Before and After Challenge", but I have been a big flake. You would be proud of me if you could see little Miss Bradli's room. It was a fun but crazy room to do. I can still see us painting that black stripe in the boy's room and painting my kitchen wall listening to a Little Justin Timberlake. Such great memories!!

Way too cool! You are the only ones I know here who went! So was it hard to get there? Find a place to stay? More crowds than what we're used to? I want to hear all about it... Thanks for the pics!

And a HUGE thank you to you and your ayi for saving my bacon the other day. Let me know what I can do for her! (And which one went...you running an informal ayi bed and breakfast at your house!)

xoxo

Hi Sister Calton. It's meagan.

Heidi just wanted me to tell you that the "Brazilian" kid you took a picture of is in her class at school, and he's actually Filipino, or however you spell it. She insisted that you know, because she kept jumping up and down saying, "I know him!! I know him!! And he's NOT Brazilian!" I mainly did it just to calm her down.

What a small world, huh?

You're so lucky you actually got to go. I'm jealous!
