You know how this goes...
Friend offers to loan you something. You don't want to, but for some reason you have to. You try to return the item. You forget it. That friend comes over several times, they forget it. Then finally, in a moment of sheer frustration it comes to a head and you feel like a total dork, because it's been forever and you've had their 'thing(s)'. It's awkward for everyone, whether you're the borrower or lender.
But what do you do when your 3 year old finds open garages to be a free-for-all. ?
See this badmitten set? It's from Saya's garage. I've returned it 3 times. I don't know how he sneaks it in, but as of yet, I looked and noticed last night, they were back in our house AGAIN!!!
Then here's a ball from Alex's garage. Should've seen the mad-dash out of Alex's garage when I caught him in the act. I told him to march right over an return this ball.
He returned it before all the neighbors started closing their garages.
....Then a few weeks later, two girls come straight to my door (passing all other houses) to ask for their missing scooter. I confidently told them:
"Tanner is still too little for scooters check back when it's missing next year Sorry, haven't seen it".
Then, instead of checking with any of the other hundreds of neighborhood houses, we come home to this number at our front door:
She's on to us.
Smart girl.

You have to admit the note is pretty cute! -- I hate borrowing things! I'm like you ... I can't remember that I have them. I just lent out a book to Jess that Kelsey and I read, I put "Naylor" in it only to find out that it wasn't Kelsey's ... she had borrowed it! Do I have anything of the Caltons?
Hey! It's been a long time. Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. :) Hope you're well!
This is hilarious! Not OUR Tanner! Surely he wouldn't do such a thing... His problem is he is just so darned cute that anyone will gladly give him anything! Love that kid! (and his mom too!) :)
