The Sunday of General Conference here in China (a week later) we were at home, and having a blast together as a family while we waited for the talks to download.
Below are some cute things/stories that I didn't get pictures of (of course). So I threw in some old ones I found of Tanner
1. Tanner was calling for Tim and saying "Daddy! Ball! Daddy Ball!". He was holding a ball and trying to find Tim. When he found him, he threw the ball, and put his hand up for Tim to hold him and hug him. It was so cute, it was Tanner was trying to lure Tim in with a ball, only for a quick snuggle.
Tanner putting a diaper package on Tim's head. And apparently very proud of his work.
2. Tim and Hunter were building space ships with the couch cushions, and Hunter said "Daddy, it's time for us to play house now." I could see Tim from the other side of the room. I grinned at him, and waited for his reaction.
Then Hunter said "Okay, this is how we play. I'll be the Daddy, and you be the Mommy." I laughed out loud, and watched for his response. Tim grinned at me. Here my 6' 2" husband of no petite size replied in the highest pitched voice he could muster "Okay, I'm the mommy, what do we do now?!" Reason # 2,856 why I love this man!
3. Then we went for a ride on scooter. Holly was just entering our complex at that time, with a container of fresh Chicken-black mushroom-ginger pot stickers. So we dropped them off, and offered her a ride on the back of the scooter to her house. When we got there, there were over 10 housekeepers living there! WOW! I knew she was starting this agency, but had no idea she was this involved. We were totally proud of her. She had a table full of pot stickers from teaching all the housekeepers how to make her secret recipe. BTW, all of the Beijing housekeepers from her agency all have RESTAURANT experience!!
But the cool part was Hunter... LOL! He is our introvert, and Tanner our Extrovert. In crowds, he gets so quite. But here in the Ayi (Chinese for Aunty or housekeeper) palace, he was totally in his element. There was one room there with 3 queen-sized beds lined on the floor side by side covered in sheets. Hunter jumped from one end of the room to the other back and forth (forever). He kept charming the ladies and speaking everything he knew in Chinese. We all watched and laughed, he had such a blast there for some reason. The Ayis treated our little boys like kings, and like 5 of them cracked sunflower seeds for them to eat. It was crazy. Usually, when eating shelled sunflower seeds, you get like a table spoon of nut for an hour of work. But with five cracking at once, Tanner couldn't even keep up with eating them! They were so sweet, and we are so impressed at Holly's success!!

Those are such cute stories. I hope Chris doesn't read this blog, he will miss his kids sooo much when he sees it.
I can just see all those darling ayis getting a thrill at your boys. They are so cute! And the ayis are AMAZING in the kitchen, aren't they? Every day at 5:00 I resist the urge to call you and say how much I love Jiao Jie!! Thank you thank you forever thank you!
