Before I write this post, I should tell you, we are planning Tanner’s party in August this year. Too many things happened all at once in February, so his celebration continues in August with a class party. He wasn’t in school at the time of his birthday, so that was another reason why we put off having a party.
Here’s his cake. I love the way kids get so excited over their birthday cakes no matter if the icing melts, if the candles are votives, or if the cake is simply decorated with chocolate chips!
We re-lit his candles about 4 times and sang to him over and over so he could blow them out.
Earlier that day, we met up with Tim at the mall and had McDonalds and ice cream. It was a great ‘Tanner day’. I was happy he wasn’t in school, and we got to have the whole day together to play.
We went to ‘Tom’s World’, the Chinese version of Chucky Cheese. And, according to the sign above left, it' is simply “The Key of Happiness”. Who would’ve thought happiness would just be a token away? According to the picture on the right, Tanner agreed.
His favorite part was fishing for the ducks. I kept paying over and over so he practically emptied the pond. He loved it. The picture on the right is of some prizes the kids could win. From a distance, you’re thinking ‘wow, that Tiger looks nice’, right? Oh, but come closer…
Oh yes, you too could be the proud owner of a waffle iron, clothes steamer, rice cooker or even a crock pot. You just keep at those arcade machines, and maybe you can bring home mama a new pair of shoes.
But wait. That’s not all. There’s something for everyone here at this Arcade. You can turn in your won tickets and bring home some body wash, window cleaner, laundry detergent, you name it! Talk about a pay back for mom and dad. Now this arcade has it goin’ on!
Happy Birthday to Tanner, and I’m excited for your class party in August! Spider theme, ooooohhh, get excited!!
