Tanner and I came to Hunter’s concert early, and wrote up our own ‘Reserved’ seat signs. We got front row, and stashed goodies under the chairs. Then when Hunter’s concert was over, we put our homemade signs back on the chairs for our friend who was coming to the concert following ours… sooo sneaky, tee hee hee.
Our seats were right next to the Conductors.
But even though we got great seats, we could barely see our little Hunter. Can you see him in the left pic and then on the right (he’s just beneath the Chinese girl’s hair bun)?
Not the best stage for individual photos of kids. But it truly was an amazing concert. The kids played ‘Amazing Grace’, and a song that was part singing and part violin, “We can play the violin, we can play most anything”.
The above two pics are the best I could get of him playing the violin. Can you see the determination in his eyes?!
Later the kids sang a song ‘we all laugh in the same language. I do have to admit that it choked me up a bit to hear him play the violin, it was completely breath taking for me.
This could be because the only musical talent from my side of the family happens around a camp fire. If you get what I mean.
