Through Tami's Lens

Everyday life here in China is extremely exciting... if you see things through "Tami's Lens".

This must be why I am always hanging out with this gal. She sees the fun and excitement in all the little things here in China. She is a talented photographer and has taken near professional pictures for several people.

On this day, I played the passive role to Tami's "did you get a picture of that? Hurry quick, click it! Did you notice... quick, grab your camera!" If you want to see all the details of what she catches on film-- stop by and see: HER BLOG

Here's Tami negotiating the price for a needle threader. These ladies are telling her how to use it.

Chicken feet and organs up for grabs. And tongues.

Cute little hand-made stroller. Even cuter baby!

These are split-crotch pants that are used instead of diapers. The babies are potty-trained early in China... they are the experts. Sometimes when I pick Tanner up from school, and if he's spilled on his pants, he'll come home in a pair of these and his dirty pants in a bag.

Getting the up close details of the open markets in China.

Pig noses, hearts, lungs etc. I am being pretty vague in the "etc". Anybody up for a round of "guess that organ?"

Sally sells seashells...

At my favorite fried rice place. Notice the stray cat in the background?

At the fabric market. Anybody up for a round of "name that fur"?

Notice it's on wheels... wonder why...

Peeling a Paloma fruit. Did I even spell that right? It's a fruit that's green on the outside, about the size of a small volleyball, and has a thick husk. It's like a sweet grapefruit. You eat it like you would an orange.

But peel it like a flower.

Thanks for playing Tami!

What an exciting shopping trip! Beats the heck out of the "outlets." My Mom and sister went to China last year and said that the smells were pretty intense. I can imagine after seeing pig parts laying everywhere! YUCK! I'm glad the fried rice place was your FAV and not the pig organ place!!!!! That would have started to worry me!
