This ones for you, Gel... you'll like this.
Lately, many of my friends and family have been posting their grocery coupon deals. I've been very impressed to see the dedication.
So now I tell you what I got for around $20 US:
Are you disgusted? Who'd have thought spaghetti and jello could be so expensive?
See that Jello? It's around $2.50, the cream cheese on top? Try just over $5. Oh, and I mixed it with sour cream, so tag on another $4.50. That's just for the jello part. We won't bother to count the bananas inside.
Then the noodles- they can run you around $3-$5 per bag. The ground hamburger? Around $3.50. Then the pasta sauce, $4. Oh, and parmesan cheese you say- another $3-$4.
So now you see why we only have American imported food once a week. You'd think it was filet mignon by it's price.
Luckily the veggies are cheap...

All that money and you don't even have any meat in the pasta sauce? That meal like it is would be one of the absolutely cheapest here in the U.S. Wow! However, I would really like a plate of authentic chinese food right now!
Crazy! I guess it's nothing but the local food for you guys. Yum!
yummy, totally worth $20.
I love it -- how terrible is it that it costs $20 bucks for spaghetti. That's crazy - what can you buy in China for that much?
I hear you! I seriously have heart palpatations everytime I'm at the register. I don't buy anything extravagant at all, but the total just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
