The Boys (including Tim) loved this part.
Tanner's favorite animals are birds. He was so fascinated this one didn't fly away from him, and that the bird was so huge!
This family was so excited to see foreigners! They ran up to us and said "We're from Iran, so we're friends, right?" They will be passing through Shanghai and plan to visit us.
When Tanner would see a kid his size, he'd always give them a hug, and we'd see camera flashes. People loved it. Until Tanner bonked heads with this little guy. Side note: his parents shaved "2008" in the back of his head in prep for the Olympics...
Rich in history... I'm sure... but we didn't have a tour guide, just knew this must mean something. LOL!

you're so brave, i'd be so scared to hold birds. agh, i'd rather hold a slug. lol. such fun though. hari is my animal lover and really loves holding any animal, he'd be up for it.
