Summer Fun

We headed out to Alison Wilde's for another swim day.

I was playing with Tanner on the steps, then suddenly he got out, walked down the edge of the pool's perimeter 'till he got close to Liu Ming (Holly's son, we took them with us to swim). He stretched his hands out for Liu Ming to catch him. Liu Ming held him in the water, and Tanner just laughed and laughed. Funny how kids have certain connections with certain people.

That night I took the boys swimming, yet again! Tim got home and was sooooo exhausted, so we took off to the indoor pool at "mega fit". Funny side note: Mega fit is in a mini-mall. Part of the children's wading pool buts right up to the main walk way of the mall. So it looks like there's one big glass wall between you (in the pool) and the shoppers (inside the mall). When the boys got in the pool, a crowd gathered on the other side of the glass, and openly cooed and gawked over the boys. I had to laugh. It was as if they thougth the glass made them invisible to me. They are so polite and cautious not to stare. But in this instance, the boys got lots of admiring stares.

It got a little awkward so we switched to the other mini-pool, that was actually an over-sized hot tub. Note: don't think I'd ever seen so many speedos in my life. Anyway, there I saw a sweet little girl named "LinRong". She was very shy with me, then after 10 minutes, she kept playing with me and smiling at me. I wish I had a picture of her. It made my mouth water, it was at that moment I felt the anxiousness for the adoption of our chinese little girl to be final! LinRong made me want a chinese baby girl twice as much, though she was already 3 years old.

Afterwards, a flower street vendor (0ne that we're good friends with) approached us about her new gardenias.

They smelled so very beautiful. I gave in and justified that I'd give one vase to Kristen Lowman, a good friend who's birthday is tomorrow.

We ended up being at the Megafit pool 'till 9:30, then caught a cab home. The boys normally go to bed at 8, and get up at 7 am. This is Tanner the following morning, at 7:30 AM. The lights were on in his room, commotion all around him-- he was still totally zonked out!!
