Amidst The Move

These were taken 2 days after moving in, amidst boxes. We made cookies.

My good friend Tami left some frosting at my house and told me "will you find something to use this for?" And we did. Because the cookie cutters were still packed, the boys shaped these beauties with their own little fingers. And they were the best I've ever seen.

I had almost the entire downstairs unpacked (GMAC sent movers who did all the packing and delivered all the boxes to the new place. So don't you go thinkin' I was that much on my game!).

Just a tip that saved my sanity... I made sure before I went to bed the first night that the living room and kitchen were completely unpacked and arranged. That way when I woke up to organize and unpack, I always felt like I had one room to relax in.

I scheduled the picture hangers to come, as soon as we got the keys to our place (you're not allowed to hang your own pictures here).

Ahhhh, home. It looks SO comfy and cozy, just like a home you want to come home to, a home that feels good. It's gorgeous! (Just like you!) It's really pretty but mostly I'm glad that you are in a place where you can be safe. I worried about you in your old neighborhood with your husband gone and all the break-ins!

Btw, cracked me up to see your boy crouching chinese-style on the counter by the cookies!
