So. As you all know our housekeeper started her own housekeeper agency. So far since we've been here, I think we're in double digits for how many Chinese gals we've found jobs for. Simply because all we do is match people up.
Then there's the softie in me that lets them work for me when their circumstance is a tuff one. Like the SiChuan earthquake gal who had a baby. She worked mornings for our family while bringing her baby to work. We are still good friends, and she now has full-time work, making more than double than what my housekeeper makes!
Anyway, there was one housekeeper, Mrs. Wang that was 50 years old. She didn't have that youthful smile that said "hire me!", so she was left behind. She was offered one opportunity, but she'd have to sleep on the hard floor, and with no heating. It broke my heart, so I took her.
She's totally amazed me and out-shined any housekeeper skills I've seen in a long time. She truly works to compensate for the fact that I know she wasn't first round pick. But mostly because she's a people lover. And I absolutely adore her, and told her to stay as long as she'd like until she found full-time work.
But this morning I was in our shower, you know the ones where you could dance for your spouse through the glass doors?! Why they had to use such clear glass, I don't know. I prefer fogged glass.
Especially this morning I would've preferred fogged glass.
Tanner came running into the bathroom when I was showering. And she came running in after him. She pretty much got flashed.
And now that she's seen that side of me... Girlfriend ain't goin' nowhere now!! I think she's found her permanent position. Because with my luck, she'd find a job with someone in our branch and rehearse details.
Grateful Friday

Thanks for not adding a picture to this post. I think the imagination is enough for that scene!! Just kidding! Glad you guys are safe. Hope Hunter is feeling better!!
LOL - I hate things like that -- but she really should be glad she saw you and not me -- someday I might - might is the key word lose all this pregnancy weight.....
I'm SO glad that you adore her! I've been feeling bad that we've taken all the good ones and you didn't get one... This morning after I went to the club house, I came home to get into the shower and Jiao Jie asked if I wanted her to scrub my back...these beifang friends are wanting to do whatever they can to make your day a little easier! (I declined, of course, but maybe you should have yours help you in the shower next time and let me know how it goes....?)
I can hardly type at this moment since I am laughing so hard!! Thank you for this story as it has made my day---actually you just make my day!! Lots of love, Alison
HaHaHa! That just made my day.
At least you're hot ;) I'd be more embarrassed I think.
Oh I got a very good laugh out of this one!! Don't you love how kids have this whole modesty and privacy thing down pat?! Ha!
I guess there are some bonuses to not having a housekeeper. I love that your boys are into graffiti. It makes me feel better at my inability to keep my children away from shampoo and toothpaste. Trisha's latest blogs about Taiwan have had me thinking about you lots. Those were some good times, huh? Hope your hubby gets back soon.
