Street Markets

Roasting Sunflower seeds. China's are the best. They are almost double the size, and if you love the burnt tasting ones, this guy sells the yummiest!

Various beans and grains.

Various rice bins. Didn't know there was anything other than white and brown rice.

This woman is selling what I call Chinese rice crispy treats. Only with puffed rice and melted sugar.

This is the entrance to the local fruit/veggie wet market. Only the locals shop here. So I tried to be all cocky and go, but what a hassle. The price for blondies was almost double. It was quite exhausting to argue over the price of Pumpkin and Broccoli. But they did love having a foreigner stop in, they kept calling me "zhonguo tong", which means something along the lines of "local".
The boys love this market. They love to run up and down the aisle with the couple of kids that are there while their parents sell produce. One little girl almost cried when it was time for the boys to leave.

I almost cry when it's time for your boys to leave too! They are adorable kids!

Too bad your nickname wasn't zhongguo tang...chinese candy! woohoo!

Thanks for the walk-n-talk today. Good therapy. (you, not shopping...) Sleep well tonight and watch out for those marauding comforters.
