The DVD street vendors weren't out yet last night, so we hopped on the scooter and went to the DVD store.
The street vendors only sell the latest releases. But the DVD store sells the oldies.
And, there I found one of Barry's favorite cartoons.

I was thrilled.
We saw it in the theaters together, Barry and I, way back in 1999; the year Barry passed away. If Barry were here today, I could picture him sitting around the TV with his kids watching this movie, and explaining the message behind the story.
Hunter already has a huge fascination with Robots now days. And of all the movies we have right now, these last two days he keeps asking to watch Iron Giant. I love thinking about why this movie must've been among Barry's favorite cartoons.

The movie has so many messages about overcoming your natural self and making the right choices. How coincidental that I found it right around the time of year when Barry passed away, 9 years ago.

What a great find. I love that movie too. It's pretty wonderful that you have all of these experiences to share Barry with your boys :)

Isn't it interesting that you'd find it right now? It's like it's been under Heavenly Father's cloaking device, hidden from everyone else until you needed it. Loved your tender post. Thanks for sharing.
